Well folks, it's time to move on. I'm not going to be posting here anymore.
I have a new home on the web, so please update your bookmarks and RSS feeds.
The website portion is still currently under construction, but the blog is up and running. I'd love for all of you that have kept up with things and commented here to join me over on the new blog as well.

This and that
The ageless Julio Franco signed with the Braves (again) this week after being cut from the Mets roster. A few interesting notes about Mr. Franco (via Wikipedia):
- Julio, who turns 49 next month, is the oldest regular position player in Major League history.
- Franco is the all-time hits leader among Dominican-born players.
- He made his debut on April 23, 1982, as a shortstop for the Philadelphia Phillies, which means he was playing baseball before 5 Braves teammates were even born.
- Julio Franco is the only active player to face a pitcher who pitched against Hall of Famer Ted Williams, who retired in 1960.
I'm glad to see Julio back in Atlanta and I hope he is able to finish up his career with the Braves.

I have sold my first photo print!

The guys at OrangeCoat beat me to posting it, but I think this commercial is awesome.

The folks at Cox Photography did a great job shooting our wedding, as well as Kathryn's bridal portraits.

Well, the big day is tomorrow. It will be cool to see the months of planning finally come together. Kathryn has done a great job planning and coordinating everything, while I've just tried to be as supportive as I could. I'm also looking forward to seeing some old friends and getting the chance to catch up.
Most of all, I'm greatly anticipating starting our lives together and seeing where the Lord will lead us and what His plan will have in store for the two of us.
Anyway, no pictures from me for a bit. When posting resumes, they will most likely have a tropical theme.

Actions>Words = Picturetown
Instead of trying to tell people in words about their cameras, Nikon goes and gives 200 people in Georgetown, SC (aka "Picturetown") the opportunity to go out and test drive the Nikon D40 on their own. Sure, they ran a risk of getting some busted up cameras, but they succeeded in reaching out and directly impacting the community (probably consisting in photographic ability from photo pro to average joe). The results are displayed over on their site.
I'm a Canon guy myself, but major kudos to Nikon for some awesome advertising and PR. This story was of particular interest to me, being from SC. Just for the record, any time any camera company decides they want to try something similar to this, I'll be more than happy to test their product.

HDR
I think I've finally figured out how to create an HDR image. I had never had trouble grasping the multiple images at different exposure aspect of the process. However, I figured out that I had been skipping a few crucial steps in the conversion from a 32-bit to a 16-bit image in Photoshop. Good to know.

Odds and Ends
Clemson University has a new website. Other than a few poorly photoshopped headers, it looks better. I just wish they could figure out a more logical organizational structure.

Forget the steroid accusations and all of the recent "scientific data" accumulated by ESPN, I don't want Barry Bonds to break Hank Aaron's home run record because he is a jerk. Period.

IKEA has some of the worst customer service. Ever.

Spider-Man 3 is a decent movie, but it seemed like they tried to pack way too much into 2 hours and 20 minutes.

The wedding countdown is now at 39 days.
